What is ZAU Data?
ZAU Data is a data analytics platform that lets you connect multiple data sources and generate dashboards with aggregated and combined metrics across your store and advertising accounts.
Which data sources can I connect?
You can currently connect Shopify, Google Ads, and Meta (Facebook) Ads. We add new sources over time — if there's a platform you'd like to see, let us know.
How does ZAU access my accounts?
All connections use OAuth 2.0 for delegated, revocable access — you authorize ZAU through each platform's own login, and you can revoke that access at any time. We request only the scopes needed to deliver your analytics, and tokens are encrypted at rest and in transit.
Where is my data stored, and is it secure?
Your data is hosted on Google Cloud Platform, currently in the European Union, with encryption in transit and at rest and continuous monitoring. See our Security Overview for details. Hosting regions may change over time or at your request, subject to the safeguards in our Privacy Policy.
Does ZAU process my customers' personal data?
When you connect a source such as Shopify, we retrieve and store records — including order, product, and customer records — to model your metrics. Where those records contain personal data of your own customers, you act as the data controller and ZAU acts as your processor. Our responsibilities are set out in the Data Processing Agreement.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes, and we don't use your source data for advertising. We retrieve and store it only to generate the metrics and dashboards you request.
How do I disconnect a source or delete my data?
You can disconnect a source at any time from your account, which stops further data retrieval. When you delete a source or close your account, the related data is removed within 30 days, unless retention is required by law. See the Data Processing Agreement for deletion timelines.
What are my privacy rights (GDPR / CCPA)?
Depending on your location, you may access a copy of your data, request correction or deletion, and withdraw consent for processing. To exercise these rights, email legal@zaudata.com. More detail is available in our Privacy Policy and Compliance Statement.
